This technology enables distillation to take place under vacuum conditions and is combined with a heat pump system.In a vacuum environment, water can be boiled at 35°C by using a specially designed pump with a permitted vacuum pressure of ≈33mbar to reach the boiling chamber.The technology of this system is mature and the design life of the equipment is more than 30 years.
