Well Head Gas Challenges

Flaring of wellhead gas is one of the biggest challenges facing the global oil industry today.

Typically a by-product of oil extraction, wellhead gas flaring dumps large amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air, and pumps out carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and soot.

Billions of cubic meters of wellhead gas are unnecessarily flared worldwide every year.

Well Head Gas Recovery Solution

Wellhead gasFlare GasProcessing Plant is kind of combine facility to  separate natural gasoline and LPG from natural gas recovery system, then the treated natural gas (after separation of natural gasoline and LPG) will be pressurized to 25 MPa compressed natural gas. The plant consists of process equipment and ancillary auxiliary engineering and utility installations.

Main Process Equipment

 Well site pressure regulator

Function:desander, throttling and steady flow for wellhead gas , to meet the requirements of follow-up pipe  transportation.

The main equipment components: desander, throttle, emergency shut-off valve and vent valve group

 

 Pressure Regulating & Separation Skid

function: separation, heating, throttling, and then separated to meet the follow-up equipment process requirements.

The main equipment components: heaters, three-phase separator, high efficiency separator, throttle, vent valve group.

 

 Filtering & Metering Skid

Function:  complete the feed gas filtration, measurement, separation. At the same time, the cooling separation  of resurgent gases and the supply of fuel gas are also integrated in the skid.

equipment: filter ,flowmeter pressure ,regulating valve, three-phase separator , resurgent gas air cooler, separator, etc

 

 Feed Gas Booster

Through the feed gas compressor 2 stage pressurization to 5.5MPa, to meet the system pressure requirements.

The unit is mainly composed of the compressor host, drive motor, lubrication system, cooling system, gas circuit system, separation system, sewage system

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

 Dryer system

The dryer system uses molecular sieve to remove saturated water from natural gas. Two sets of molecular sieve dryer system are set up in this equipment, and two molecular sieve tower switching operations are set up for each of the molecular sieve dryer system. One tower is adsorbed and other one is regenerated.

 

 Propane refrigeration

The project uses propane refrigeration unit, through the liquid propane evaporation refrigeration cooling of the feed gas to meet the purpose of separation process.

The main equipment includes: screw propane compressor, lubrication system, air cooler, liquid storage tank, economizer etc.

 

 Precooling and fractionation systems

Equipment function: The LPG and natural gasoline in the feed gas are separated and recovered by this system, the hydrocarbon dew point of the natural gas is reduced to meet with CNG requirements, LPG and natural gasoline and other by-products can also be obtained.

Main equipment composition: absorbent tower ,deethanizer and reboiler, debutanizer and reboiler, main and auxiliary cold box, reflux tank, air cooler, reflux pump, regulating valve etc.
