BACKGROUND

Dagang Oilfield invested in the construction of a CNG refueling mother station in the gas field in Hebei. The feed gas for the parent station comes from a high-pressure gas well, and the pressure of the feed gas is between 8 and 20 MPa, and the gas contains more heavy hydrocarbons.


CHANLLENGE

The feed gas in the high-pressure gas well contains heavy hydrocarbons (C3C6). After being pressurized, it enters the CNG tank truck and accumulates in the tank truck, which greatly reduces the tank truck transportation efficiency and causes ice blockage during unloading. It is caused by gas equipment failure.

The traditional de-hydrocarbon process requires throttling and depressurizing the high-pressure feed gas to 2.0~4.0MP, using an external cold source to cool and de-hydrocarbon, removing heavy hydrocarbon gas, and then using a compressor to increase the pressure to more than 20MPa. This solution requires the addition of refrigeration units, cold boxes, towers and other equipment, which increases project investment capital and consumes higher energy.

SOLUTION

EboomYa Team, through a comprehensive analysis and calculation of on-site parameters, proposes a high-pressure de-hydrocarbon and integrated CNG refueling station solution. A similar molecular sieve adsorption and dehydration process is adopted to adsorb and remove heavy hydrocarbon components in the feed gas at high pressure and normal temperature, and to regenerate the adsorbent at low pressure and high temperature. Double tower design is adopted to ensure alternate work, thus realizing continuous production. After removing heavy hydrocarbons, the feed gas enters the integrated CNG filling station, the pressure is increased to 20MPa, and then filled into the tank truck. The removed heavy hydrocarbons are recycled and filled into the LPG tanker for transportation through processing.
